SJ12- Concepts and Ideas of Different Architects

            
                 We were given an assignment to find 3 concepts and 3 ideas of each of the architects to learn to understand why they design and the purpose to it.





The LAX Theme Building, Los Angelos Airport was designed by Paul R. Williams and Welton Becker resembling a flying saucer that has landed. The design was to help give LA a modern identity which completed in 1961. In addition, it gives patrons a 360 degree view.






Taipei 101 was designed by C.Y.Lee & Partners comprises 101 floors. The building was created as a symbol of the evolution of technology and Asian tradition. The Chinese believes the number 8 brings prosperity and good fortune as you can see there are 8 levels to the top. Therefore, the bamboo stalk was the concept.








The Conical Concrete Sculpture Unique Villa Design, Beekbergen was design by Mr Anton Schouten and Ms Hannie Kempinle. The unique concept architecctural style for villa. As for the interior, it is visible through the various open places cut into the cone.
